1. Who We Are

MIHS Exhibitions organises business-to-business trade shows across the houseware, kitchenware, home décor, home furniture, and gifting industries. Our events bring together manufacturers, brands, retailers, distributors, importers, and institutional buyers from India and overseas.

For the purposes of applicable data-protection law — including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and, where relevant, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — MIHS Exhibitions is the data fiduciary / controller of the personal information described below.

a. Information you provide directly. When you register as a visitor, apply as an exhibitor, fill in a lead-generation form, subscribe to our newsletter, request an e-pass, contact us through the site, or RSVP to a partner programme, you may share:

• name, designation, and company name
• business email address and contact number
• company address, country, and GST/Tax ID where applicable
• product categories of interest, sourcing intent, and buyer segment
• proof of business (visiting card, company website, GST certificate) for buyer verification
• billing details for paid services (we do not store full card numbers; payments are processed by PCI-compliant gateways)

b. Information collected automatically. When you browse mihs.co.in, our servers and analytics partners may log:

• IP address, approximate location, device type, browser, and operating system
• pages viewed, referring URL, time on site, and click paths
• campaign tracking parameters (UTM tags) when you arrive via an ad or partner link

c. Information from third parties. We may receive information from co-organisers, channel partners, industry associations, list-rental partners, lead-capture vendors at the show floor (badge scanners), and platforms such as LinkedIn when you engage with our advertising. • to send marketing communications about upcoming editions, exhibitor highlights, and industry updates, where you have opted in or where permitted by law
• to share your business contact details with relevant exhibitors and sponsors when you scan or are scanned for a meeting, request a brand catalogue, or otherwise express interest
• to operate, secure, and improve mihs.co.in, including analytics and fraud prevention
• to comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
• to defend our legal rights and enforce our terms

Where the law requires a legal basis (such as under the GDPR), we rely on consent, contract performance, legal obligation, or legitimate business interest, as appropriate.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only in the situations described below.

Exhibitors and sponsors. When you visit a booth, agree to a meeting, scan a QR code, or submit interest through a lead-gen form, your business contact details are shared with the relevant exhibitor or sponsor so they can follow up. The exhibitor then becomes an independent controller of that information and is responsible for its use under their own privacy policy.

Service providers. We work with vetted third parties for registration platforms, badge printing, email and WhatsApp delivery, CRM (such as HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce), analytics, advertising platforms, payment gateways, and event production. These providers process information on our behalf under written agreements that require confidentiality and appropriate safeguards.

Co-organisers and venue partners. Where an event is co-hosted or held at a partner venue, we share registration data with the co-organiser or venue strictly for event delivery, security, and statutory requirements.

Legal and regulatory disclosures. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or a competent authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MIHS, our visitors, exhibitors, or the public.

Business transfers. If MIHS Exhibitions is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

• request deletion of your data, where there is no overriding legal or contractual reason to retain it

• nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act
• lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India or the relevant supervisory authority in your jurisdiction

10. Photography, Video, and On-Site Recording

MIHS events are professionally photographed and filmed for marketing, editorial, and post-event communication. By attending an event you acknowledge that your image, voice, or likeness may be captured in such content. If you do not wish to be featured, please notify the registration desk on arrival or email us, and we will use reasonable efforts to honour the request.

11. Third-Party Websites

Our site and event communications may contain links to exhibitor websites, partner platforms, and social-media pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage you to review their policies before sharing personal information.

12. Children’s Privacy

MIHS events are restricted to trade professionals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will indicate when the latest revision took effect.
